MEPI Alumna elected as the first woman President of the Tunisian American Chamber of Commerce

MEPI alumna Amel Bouchamaoui Hammami, was elected first woman President of the Tunisian American Chamber of Commerce (TACC). Members of the chamber chose Amel through an open and democratic elections that was held in April 2011.
Speaking about her new position, Amel said, her main goal will be to “lead TACC towards greater prosperity in Tunisia.”
As a MEPI alumna, Amel participated in the Building Public-Private Partnerships for Women Artisan's Empowerment in Tunisia a program to promote sustainable partnerships between the Tunisian government, NGOs, and the private sector by increasing the number of women in business, and promoting entrepreneurship. Amel is also the Vice President of the Middle East and North Africa Businesswomen's Network.
