MEPI Alum and Co-Founder of Live Love Beirut Launches “Live Love Volunteer”

MEPI Alum Abbas Sibai (Leaders for Democracy (LDF) U.S. Program, 2013) has launched “Live Love Volunteer,” which leverages the popular Live Love social media accounts to promote volunteerism in Lebanon. Live Love Volunteer’s next activity is a trash clean up day at Lebanon’s Kfarhelda waterfalls on September 16. Abbas co-founded the “Live Love Beirut” social enterprise in 2012 and saw its reach grow with over 250K followers on Instagram, 280K on Facebook, and 42 events held around Lebanon. Live Love has now spread to more than 20 countries in MENA and around the world. In 2014, Live Love Lebanon was officially adopted by the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism as a national tourism campaign. Recently, Abbas worked with USAID on positive storytelling and capacity building for 26 youth NGOs in Tripoli, Akaar, and Bekaa. He is an elected member of the MEPI LDF Alumni Advisory Council.
