On February 2, MEPI attended advocacy training in Ramallah as part of the MEPI-funded Internews Network project, Supporting Civic Engagement and National Dialogue through Independent Palestinian Media. The project works with local civil society organizations, journalists and media to establish strong, independent media that includes a diversity of voices, supports inclusive political processes, and incorporates various media platforms for improving constructive public engagement on key issues, and stronger fact-based journalism leading toward more transparency and government accountability. The activities are designed to build and strengthen ties between media and civil society and to encourage greater civic engagement and promote vibrant national dialogue on key issues. The training on February 2 focused on building strong advocacy campaigns for drug issues and women’s minimum wage.
